Does not work with ADT. Camera worked well on google app. Unfortunately, will not work with ADT app unless you purchase same camera or doorbell from them. They will link you with virtual tech and add about a $10 monthly charge per item to your ADT bill. They will not monitor camera as this is an invasion of privacy. I understand. Then why the upcharge? Will seriously need to rethink my home monitoring system.

Works great. Super simple to hook into my Google Nest system. Love the face recognition and ability to control pushed alerts. Also really appreciate the ability to schedule and automate when and why everything comes on.I have 3 more cameras to hook up as well as a doorbell with a camera and multiple floodlight cameras. I did purchase the Google Nest Aware access today for $80 a year. This allows multiple extra features and 30-60 days of video storage. This is the 2nd camera of my home security system. I have my entire house Googled-up - from thermost, to light/lamp control, speakers, Wifi, doorbell, televisions, hottub, LED lighting, and soon to be a total of 5 cameras (and a lot more!), it is quite impressive to say the least. These features are especially nice in a 1970s home where all of your house lights are literally floor/table lamps (in the early 70s, not having overhead lights controlled by switches was all the rage!). Turning on 25 lamps multiple times a day becomes a miserable task. Wifi 120v power plug sockets are amazing!Note that the photo is simply a screenshot taken from my Google Home app at night with no lights on. The top camera is the Google Nest (no infrared) and the bottom is the feed from this camera with night vision turned on. The nightvision/infrared is black and white. During the day, or when the lights are on, both cameras have clear, crisp pictures with sound.
Nest is the Best. Google Nest has a great app with an easy interface. It is super user friendly. I upgraded my original nest cameras to these. I have young children who tend to be mischievous and rowdy. I have these in common areas and I love that you can speak back and forth as if they are standing right there. There is no need to hold down a talk button, then release and wait for their response like many other brands. The picture is crystal clear and the night vision is great. The zoom and detail cannot be beat. I also love that you can rewind live time and do not have to wait for an "event" to be saved to look at it. You cannot tilt or rotate the camera from the app, but that is not an issue for me. If you are looking for a good camera with excellent zoom, good night vision and awesome audio then I suggest you get these!
Great Camera - but doesn't work on legacy Nest App. This is a great camera - 4 stars only because I'm caught between legacy Nest cameras on the Nest App and this great Camera on Google Home. I wish Google (Nest) made it easier. The camera itself is fantastic and I'll upgrade the others eventually but somewhat frustrating that you're now using 2 different apps to access cameras.
It's good. Good picture and sound qualityGood live viewGood security event alertGood night visionGood field of viewGreat Free appGood chat functionBad at being able to save video to à computer it's your video why can't you keep it? and what if someone does break in? how can I give the video to the police if it deletes after a day?Bad, why can't I use this as a web cam? I wanna post foot porn to my onlyfans but this camera doesn't make it easy or possible to do so
Hooks up to Samsung immediately, still haven't figured out how to get my wife's iPhone to hook up
Me obligaron a comprar otras.
Installation worked very well. I replaced an older outdoor camera that was on nest aware; however don't know how to change that nest aware subscription to include the replacement camera now.
Buen producto
Bought this to expand my camera coverage in the house. Easy to set up and great price.
2. YI Home Camera:
Due to its portability, low cost, and simplicity of use, this camera is yet another excellent choice for travellers. A smartphone app can be used to control it remotely and it features a 720p HD resolution. In addition, it has motion detection and night vision so you can monitor things even when you're not in your room.

Great buy. Worked like a charm!
Tommy. Does work and connects to wifi requires too much times , waste of money, can’t depend on this service,
3. Ring Spotlight Cam:
This camera has a few more functions than the Nest Cam Indoor and YI Home Camera, making it a better choice for travellers despite being a little bit bigger. It offers a remote control app for smartphones and a 1080p HD resolution. Additionally, it offers two-way audio, motion detection, and night vision, so you may converse with others in your room if necessary.

WORK LIKE A CHAMP. Excellent camera that works great with google nest and assistant
4. Arlo Pro 2
If you're searching for a high-quality security camera, this camera is a little more expensive than the other choices on this list, but it's worth the investment. It offers a remote control app for smartphones and a 1080p HD resolution. Additionally, it offers two-way audio, motion detection, and night vision, so you may converse with others in your room if necessary. You can command it with your voice thanks to its compatibility with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
Google Nest Security Cam (Wired) - 2nd Generation - Snow Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor, Battery - 2nd Generation - 1 Pack
User reviews
Downgrade of Gen 1. I bought the Gen 2 to change my existing Gen 1. Even though the video quality might be a bit better, I'm very disappointed with the new product. The mount is terrible and the angle is very limited. It's also 4 times larger than the Gen 1 and finally the wide angle view is less, I would need to have 2 cameras to be able to view the same area as the Gen 1. I returned it and went back to my Gen 1.
5. Wyze Cam
This camera is one of the most affordable options on this list, but it doesn't skimp on features. It has a 1080p HD resolution and can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app. It also has night vision and motion detection, so you can keep an eye on things even when you're away from your room.

Great for security. These cameras are great. Reasonably priced. Great for security and safety at my place of business. We coupled with the Google Net Hub and it's been a great addition to our lumberyard.
Easy to install & stays connected. I bought these to replace the ones I had from the alarm company who monitors my alarm. Theirs will not stay connected to the internet. I have been very happy with these. I will be buying definitely 1 more to add to another place in my yard!
Great product…battery life could be better. This product is great, but in order to record, you must have motion, which requires the settings to be sensitive. Battery life could definitely be better considering that. In addition, we noticed a huge difference in battery life and intermittent issues during the cold months (which is to be expected, but was definitely worse than expected). Would not stop me from purchasing, but I think it’s important to know that they have to be charged almost monthly and they take about 5 hours to charge.
Low Battery. Bought a bundle of 3 cameras. All working except one of them start having low battery after a month or so of outdoor use. Battery could only last 3 days while the others > 2 months and still good. Return warranty is for 30days only. Wondering what can I do to get replacement ?
5 Stars Security and Peace of Mind. A great value for three cams. I use two of them for the backyard to keep an eye on my doodle. Safe, secure and peace of mind. I use the 3rd one for inside the house when we are gone. Worke great with my other google products and app.
Works as expected. Good area coverage, clear picture and audio quality.
definitely not a fan of the nest takeover by Google. I ordered these cameras I could only connect one. The battery life would only last a day or two the other two I was not able to connect them so I gave up and return them. I’m not sure they’re the best option battery life was poor, adding them to your account is difficult. Definitely not the same as nest poor customer service service still waiting for my money back
Nest Camera (battery) has no continuous video without power cord. Using battery alone, you will get 2 - 5 minutes of viewing time until the video goes black and you have to physically click the "live video" button for the camera to come back on. Although it comes with a 3 foot power cord (for use indoors) you need to purchase the outdoor power cord if you want to see continuous video.
6. Blink Indoor
This camera is one of the most affordable option on the list, but it doesn't skimp on features. It has a 1080p HD resolution and can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app. It also has night vision and motion detection, so you can keep an eye on things even when you're away from your room.
Google Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor, Battery - 2nd Generation - 2 Count (Pack of 1)

NEST Cam failed two months after warranty was up! POS. Update - After numerous calls and one dedicated employee, I was able to get my problem resolved. It was a painful process but they did right by me and Thank You!-----I have a NEST cam purchased last Jan 2023. Warranty is expired and the unit just failed March 2024. Googles web support page absolutely sucks. Not able to find a phone number to call for technical support OR find a shop to work on it. Totally disgusted with Google! 🙁
Impressive. I've had my camera outdoors now for about five months. One of my main concerns was how long the battery holds a charge. Even during this winter where I live, with daytime temperatures mostly in the 30s and nighttime in the teens and 20s, the battery charge lasts for about four months. That means only recharging 3–4 times per year max. Better than I expected!I did find that more motion sensing activations drain the battery faster, so I adjusted my setting to detect only people. No animals /pets.As far as quality goes it's pretty impressive. Very easy to set up and install. Both day and night (infrared night vision) the picture is crystal clear. You easily control everything on the app.
Extremely effective. Got one of these when I moved, and it's done a lot for my peace of mind. The installation is a little tricky, but once I got it set up and running I found it to be a pretty good motion sensor light and camera system combination. Motion sensing is a little too sensitive at times, I've had it trigger on things like steam coming from the dryer vent, but the camera is very high resolution, it has good battery life, and the ability to define zones for detection has proven to be very useful too.
DON'T BUY! BEWARE. Please DO NOT waste you time with this. You will NEVER get support when the cameras malfunction.I purchased these July 12, 2023. When I got the two cameras and the doorbell, I charged them and waited until July 15th for my son to come help me mount them outside in my yard. Everything seemed fine. Then it was time to charge them. I could get a step stool and reach the cameras, so I brought them inside. This was August 13th, around 4 weeks of use. I have them under the roof edge, protected from the sun and rain. For days now, I have attempted everything to charge them. NOTHING WORKS. Here are my main issues.First, I want to address my experience with Amazon customer service. The first person stated they would issue a return and I could exchange them. Great, just what I wanted. I felt maybe I got a bad batch of cameras. As she was starting the process, I was stating that I looked online for help. I seen a few forums talking about the issue but nothing resolved. She then asked if I would be willing to talk to Amazon technical support. Sure, I can do that. Maybe they have some experience with this issue.Talked with the next person, he runs through everything about what I have tried. I explain it says "offline" and even on the charger, it is not registering on my Google Home app. When charging my doorbell, it shows it as charging and how long until charged. Not with the cameras. I even removed them from my home network, did a factory reset, and still they show up as 5 days of charge left and will not register as charging. At this point he says, "Let me call this number for Google and see if I can get someone on the phone to help us and I can see if I can get you transferred to them". Great! Maybe they have an easy fix so I don't have to send them back. A few minutes later, he gives an update about still being on hold. He does this a few times. Great communication, I loved him checking in with me. Another 10 minutes goes by and he gets back on the phone. Now I already told him, I used Google to find a customer support or technical support number for Nest products and Google couldn't tell me.You are not going to believe what GOOGLE told him. So he tells me that Google would not allow him to transfer or connect me on the call. I had to personally reach out to connect with them. This technical person said they would not be able to give any guidance to him, or offer suggestions to try and fix this. WOW! SO he said they gave him a way for me to connect with them. ( support dot google dot com backslash googlenest ) YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I explained to the Amazon Support person that I have spent 2 days on this same website and can't connect to anyone. You answer the questions and it takes you to a forum and question section where someone with the same question has been getting feedback about. Let me tell you this: If you have issues like me where your camera is offline and won't connect to your home network, or you can't get it to charge, you won't find anything here. There is literally no connection to this in the options given. Now you can search on Google and it will take you to a few places, but it won't directly offer you this as an issue to attempt to resolve. So the Amazon Support person said he would transfer me back so I can get an exchange or a refund if I wanted it. Now another person takes my call. She reviews what is going on and asks me "What do you want now?" Um, an exchange on the product. She says she can't process an exchange or refund. My window of opportunity ended yesterday. No it did not. I watched it on my end and it says August 16th and that is today. I tried for days to try and get this figured out. I need to send this back so you can send me out a replacement. Again she says no. So I walked through the process on my computer while speaking to her. I then said, should I hit the submit button and take it to my local Kohl's? I want to exchange, not refund. She puts me on hold and comes back to say she can't exchange, just refund. She was able to find another way around it in the system. REALLY?So in the end, I am getting a refund that will take 2-3 weeks. Normally it goes onto my Amazon balance and I can order it again right away. Not this time! It goes to my credit card, who is not going to process that refund right away and sit on it for awhile. I asked why it can't be issued as a credit on my Amazon account and was not given a "solid" reason. So I hung up and called back. Next person explains "Due to the high value item, it goes back to the original payment method. We do not offer exchanges with high value items". Interesting. Now I know where I will not be buying any "high value" electronics from. I will find them locally and purchase in the store. This is highly unacceptable customer service. Now I will not be able to have cameras on my home until Thanksgiving break because I won't have anyone around me to install them. Everyone is leaving for school soon. I can't climb a ladder and use a drill or power tool to install them.As for the products, my doorbell is great. The cameras were nothing fancy and didn't really help me see people clearly. I wanted to have more than 30 seconds recording when someone was in my yard. It defaults back to 30 seconds and the settings show you can have it for 2 or 3 minutes. I also did that subscription thing, which I think is probably a waste of money. After a few weeks being installed, I constantly had my cameras show offline, then they would show online after a few hours. Not worth the price of these things. My neighbor has different cameras, so maybe I will just look for something else when I finally get a refund.Amazon, you really need to consider your return policy. I can send back $7 glasses and get an exchange right away. Even weeks later. But have an issue with a "high value" item and you are treated like someone who cried wolf.Google, you really need to have a way for someone to contact you.
Things To Know. I’ve only had this camera for a month or so but wanted to share a few things you should know.1. I have 6 or the generation 1 outdoor nest cameras. I like them but this is a good and comparable replacement. It was easy to install and it works well.2. Lake many of the many, if not all, new Google Nest products, this camera does not work with the Nest App. You now have to use the Google Home app. I suspect eventually, everyone will put pushed to use that app, even people using the older Nest products.3. This camera does not come with a cable that allows you to plug in. Instead, you can use the internal battery, which realistically, needs to be recharged every month or so (not the advertised 3 months). You can also buy a third party solar panel which keeps that battery charged at around 70%. As another option, you can purchase a cable which allows you to plug it in. Why would you want to do that, you ask. Because running on the battery and/or solar does not do continuous recording like the gen 1 camera did. The only way to get continuous recording would be to plug it in.
Excellent video quality. I replaced my Yi Home/Kami cameras with these and can't believe the difference in quality. This are so much better than the cheaper cameras. I didn't realize how bad my Yi Home/Kami camera quality was until I got the google nest. The setup couldn't be easier. I purchased an after market 30' power cord so that I could turn these into a wired camera, but the battery life on these is exceptional without the power cord.
Just What I Wanted. I didn't have security camera coverage in part of my back yard. Not that it's a big yard, it's just the way the house is built. I have had a Feit Electric floodlight/camera I bought at Costco for $100 about a year ago. It's OK, but not "smart" because every time a breeze moves a tree branch I get an alert. That makes it almost useless during daylight hours. When I saw the Google unit on sale for $220 I bought one for my patio. Wish I would have bought two at that price because the Google unit is great. The floodlights, camera and sensitivity are just right. The best compliment I can pay is that I will buy a second one if/when it goes on sale again, or I have extra money sometime.
Easy install and integration with Google. It was easy to install, went off of instructions on the app, and was online shortly. Works as stated. Recommend!
Fairly easy to install. The pictures are really clear with good colour. Floodlight is great for our dark walkway.Wired so not batteries to worry about. Very happy with this purchase.
Everything working well so far. Clear picture.Battery does not last that long but it is easy to recharge. Arrived quickly and well packaged.
No complaints! Works as advertised.
When choosing a security camera for your hotel room, it's important to consider your budget, the features you need, and the size and design of the camera. All of the cameras on this list are great options for travelers and will give you peace of mind knowing that your hotel room is safe and secure.
So, next time when you are traveling, don't forget to pack your ultimate travel companion, a security camera. It will keep your hotel room safe, and you can enjoy your trip without any worries.
Another important consideration when choosing a security camera for your hotel room is the storage options. Many cameras have cloud storage options, where the footage is automatically stored on a remote server and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. This is a great option for travelers because it means you don't have to worry about bringing a separate storage device with you on your trip.
Additionally, many cameras have the option to store footage locally, on a microSD card or other external storage device. This can be a good option if you're concerned about internet connectivity or privacy. However, it's important to make sure that your chosen camera supports local storage, and to bring a suitable storage device with you on your trip.
It's also worth considering the field of view of the camera. Some cameras offer a wide-angle lens, which can be useful for capturing a large area of your hotel room in one shot. Others have a more narrow field of view, which can be useful for capturing specific areas of your hotel room with more detail.
Lastly, consider the camera's power source. Some cameras are battery-powered, which can be convenient for travelers since you won't have to worry about finding a power outlet for the camera. However, battery-powered cameras will need to be recharged or have the batteries replaced periodically. Other cameras are powered by a USB cable, which can be plugged into a wall outlet or into a USB port on a TV or other device.
In conclusion, A security camera is an essential tool for keeping your hotel room safe and secure. It can give you peace of mind knowing that your belongings and personal space are protected while you're away. When choosing a camera, consider your budget, the features you need, the storage options, field of view, and power source. With the right camera, you can enjoy your trip without worrying about the safety of your hotel room.
